60 days on Father's Day!
The significance of this is that my Dad was an alcoholic, never went into recovery, and died a tormented man. You all know about that inner torment. After a long stint in the hospital, he survived by throwing himself into his work and transferring his addiction to valium. He did the best he could do to survive, but never recovered.
I almost relapsed recently until i discovered that my 60 would be on this special day. He was pretty amazing. He was a severe case but still managed to keep working so he could support his family. He found ways to keep himself from losing his sanity--chiefly by watching re-runs of old shows like Andy Griffith and fly fishing.
So..... I now have my 60 days. I pray my Dad's found peace and a nice river in the sky where he can go fly fishing.
