need a word that ends in ATE

Hello fellow people in recovery!
I'm on my 5th day (AGAIN) hope it's the last "AGAIN"
Anywho - I've got this coc-a-mamey plan for myself that involves going to stay with the folks for a few weeks...
I tried 4 different detox centers and an er in the last week to find a bed to keep me from myself to no avail.
Which is fine - I think it's the universe telling me that someone else needed a bed more than me and that I really do have the strength on my own (with my HP - for all you AA'ers, which I'm one of you)
So - going to stay with folks for a few weeks for moral, spiritual and physical recovery (mom will feed me)

I was trying to come up with a mantra, or saying, or slogan that goes something like this....

Meditate, Contemplate .... and then I NEED A WORD THAT ENDS IN ATE THAT MEANS ACTION.

Maybe Facilitate?

That seems lame and corporate to me - so, if anyone can come up with a better ATE word - I would love it - and post it on my dashboard on the way to a better life....

Sorry for the long weird post - like I said it's day 5 and I really haven't slept much (this is the part I hate the most!)

You're all awesome and I wish us all the best in our recoveries!

Hi! I'm on day 8 and can't sleep either. My favorite 3 words are peace, love and laughter. Those words warm my soul. The word actuate comes to mind for you. It means: to put into motion or action; activate.

Just noticed activate is one too! Best wishes to you!

Great point. When I was getting sober I noticed that I wanted to sleep a lot. I wanted to stay in and do nothing. One thing we alkies have to remember is that does nothing for us. That only makes us think more. We need to get up, get out. Even if it's just running simple errands, it keeps your mind off it. I used to go to stores sometimes just to look around, maybe buy something small and then strike up a conversation with a clerk or another shopper. I had a ton of anxiety, so much so that I had to force myself just to get in the car and drive somewhere, but believe me it helped. It worked and it got easier and easier. Getting sober is hard, that's why not everyone can do it....you have to understand that, but that's why you're here, because you want to change.

Thanks all!
Great words - I'll post back when I've got the quote quite perfect.
I love ALL of your suggestions.
Maybe I'll make a little "wheel" that I can change depending on my mood -
I'm just someone who loves (and needs) little mantras
One of my favorite is from a bathroom wall - here goes (watch out monitors!)

"You were your first and best lover - go home now and make love to yourself"

Love could mean ANYTHING you want by the by

I like this one...You hear it in meetings sometimes...

If I want what they have...I better do what they did.

Check out the old INXS song "Mediate". Dozens of ideas there.

Ahhh...INXS-Kick...literally wore-out that cassette tape.
