I need to remember that. Got out and about, did some work, cared for an elderly lady, checked in with my landlady, let her know I wasn't tanked, fed some ducks, keyed in on The Dead, played a couple of my harmonicas, watched an old zombie flick, talked to mom and read some good stuff. I think I liked talking to mom and the rock and sobriety the most but I did it and it was good. Oh, I woke up breathing, a plus.

The artist, like the God of the creation, remains within or behind or beyond or above his handiwork, invisible, refined out of existence, indifferent, paring his fingernails.

I'm a great James Joyce fan bebause I probably never understood him but I think as I get older perhaps he never understood himself and maybe the key is to never know but always search.
Ah, Fitz.
You need an ancient Jesuit teacger who walked the same Dublin streets as Joyce and knew the pubs and houses he wrote about to truly understand the man. I had that teacher and he routinely beat us with his cane and cursed us for our stupidity.
It was probably an even trade.

I'm just an American Irish import child. My great great granddad not off the boat signed for 100$ for the great Cival War, killed in a week, we always had the luck of the Irish but I inheritated the gab. But actually I love Joyce and lit, was an educator for years, now happy to wake up and know it is day. Actually I love reading and thinking and thinking I don't know what I'm reading, makes me think. But then I follow a Korean Zen "Don't Know: As in I don't know

Won't beat a dead horse, because why would I? But anyone remember the old John Belushi Luck of the Irish skit in the early SNL show? Cracked me up, been cracked since then. Oh still sober, now over 2 months. One breath at a time.
