One of my goldfish killed himself tonight,

I truely feel sad,
This fish was with me the whole of last year,
A terrible/intense/heavy year.

What makes me truely sad is the following video I shot of his friends,
Switserland, Red Bull and Spasmo,

Look at them all sad and huddled up together in the smalles corner of the tank...they have sat there all morning now,

Mr Clean, I am so sorry...and I have just posted you a note that H and I have just bought two fish - how weird is that?

My dad told me that something dying leaves a space for something new to fill...

for only a fish,
attachment is a strange thing,
especially towards living creatures,

We spend time taking care of them, feeding them, anthropomorphising them, and they are sweet. Of course we get attached. Better to have a bit of a cry than to not care.

I used to have 3 pet rats. Two were brothers and the third was from a different family. One of the brothers had to be put to sleep bc of a tumor and as soon as he was gone the living brother stopped eating and died within the week. It was the saddest experience and I felt so awful for him but there was nothing I could do. Love is a strong bond.
