Joe,

I don't know anything about heroin but I'm guessing others here do. But even I know you'd better get someone medical involved. Can any family members even help you? Surely there's somewhere you can go? Perhaps I'm naive, I don't know anything about what services are available in the US so I hope my response isn't p*ssing you off. Thinking about you anyways, people on this forum are great so keep posting.

Just curious

I am gonna start this detox and am curious of all that entails like how long what to do to ease it and if just a few suboxone will help or is flatout cold turkey the best just dont think its bearable . I basically am praying for a miracle ..

You have a phone?...This might be the miracle you're looking for.. Call this number and talk to somebody. Tell them what you are doing and that you think you need some help. Give them a call. It's free and they know what you're going through. After you talk to somebody...Let us know here how it went. Got it? Here's the number.

Hi Joe
Welcome to SR.

Many places in the US now have free or low cost medical clinics - that might be an option for you if you feel you need medical asistance...the ER is always an option too

Free/Low-Cost/Sliding-Scale Clinics

We also have a substance abuse forum here - you might find that is useful to you too
