Lapse of memory
The daily confusion is frustrating. I have trouble remembering stupid things like the name of some common item. At least being sober I recognize the problem, when I was drinking it didn't seem to matter. I hope it gets better. I hope I haven't ruined my brain completely for the rest of my life. I wish and hope these thoughts pop into my mind when the urge/demon comes calling for me to have "just one".
Your brain is healing. Your neurons are healing. All of the "foggy brain" stuff will become clear! At about 7 months of sobriety it became rare and everything became really clear, then it just keeps getting clearer (I have 10.5 months now). Give time time. Heal.

Thank you for sharing, I'm looking forward to being able to recall words and names of things without so much effort. Another good thing to hold onto when I contemplate the "just one drink" temptation.
What a good way to frame your frustration. Yes, hold onto it as a way to fight temptation. And others. . .thanks for reminding us all that it lifts.

Ignorance is bliss . Relax and take it easy, almost enjoy it while you can. Because the longer you get the more you will remember.
