14 days
It has been 14 days since my last drink. I am doing well but the cravings become overwhelming. I have a Superbowl party tomorrow. I am going with my wife and kids. I worry the temptation to drink will be overwhelming.

I am on day 14 as well and doing great. If you think the party will put you in a bad spot just avoid it and stay home. I've already "avoided" a trip to Florida, a few nights out with various friends, a weekend away at a friends and a few other things until I get more sober days under the belt. Hang in there and know that your peace and sobriety it more important than anything at this point, and not just for you, for your family as well

Firstly, congratulations on 14 days! I would avoid any parties at the early stage of sobriety.
Previously on day 6 I had a party and without a blink I drunk. Did not enjoy it, but I drunk. Then following next few weeks I just could not stop.
Remember how you made excuses to drink, now do the same to stay sober.

I agree with the others that not going would be my preferred option.
If, for whatever reason, thats not an option, it won't be easy....but it's possible if you're strong in your commitment to not drink.
Make an escape plan if it all gets too much, have a response ready when people ask you if you're drinking (or why aren't you drinking) and stick to the soft drinks.
