Confusion
Hey guys,
I hope everyones recovery is going well
I have been off the alcohol for nearly two months, I drank very very heavily for almost 7 weeks.
I can't real remember much of that time and most of my memories are jumbled up at the moment and I get confused easily. Does anyone know or have any personal experience of your mind and brains returning to normal one day????
Thanks

I drank for heavily for 20 years and honestly I've lost big chunks of time that I don't remember. I've been sober for almost a year now and some has come back and some of the confusion has cleared, but I'm not sure if I will ever regain everything. I'm also not sure how much is from the drinking or possibly aging or may-be a combination of both. I can't go back and change the past but I know from now on alcohol will not be a factor in what I remember.
Hey 211. Brain fog is pretty common. I'm dealing with it as well. We do alot of damage to our brains and bodies with what we put into them. It should gradually clear up. I'm still dealing with it at two months sobriety.
Hang in there.
God bless.
