Day-5- Almost gave up but Survived
I am on day 5.
4th day was the most difficult in the late evening with severe cravings, anger, irritation and helplessness. Went very close to picking up a drink but decided to go for a very long walk, instead.
By the time , I came back , felt very hungry and had very heavy dinner, thus survived one more day.
I will take this one day at a time. I will not drink today for sure. But I know, I need to do much more than just passing days. As per my plan I am doing exercise, socializing more with non-drinking friends, working on to improve my skills and off course, regular reading and posting at SR.
Thank you all for support and encouragement.

And you know this is key, so keep on reaching out - action is vital. You've got the right thinking....keep putting it in to action....you'll get there

Way to do something poitive chance instead of pick up a drink!
That's so awesome! I love to walk or run when i'm feeling a bit nuts. Really helps get that anxiety and restlessness out.
Keep it up!
God bless.

try to get into a new routine that keeps you active and busy during your trigger times.
i changed up my whole schedule. it's a bit easier after the first few weeks. and it will be spring with more daylight soon too.
