Thanksgiving update

Greetings everyone! I’m back from visiting my daughter and her family for Thanksgiving. I had a great time and the TurDuckHen was awesome. They made it from scratch and did all the deboning and stuffing themselves. I ate way too much.

My SIL took me paintballing over the weekend. It was a first for both of us and we had a great time. I can see me doing that again. The first round I took a paintball to the facemask and the paint went through the breathing vents and I ended up with a mouthful of paint, blah!

It was my 1st trip to visit them without the AW. There was a lot less tension and everyone got along great. I really enjoyed the time with my grandsons and all in all it was a wonderful vacation.

I am so grateful that I have my family I can visit and my program which lets me be a much saner and healthier me.

I hope everyone here had a safe and happy holiday.

Wow, that's a labor-intensive cooking experience!!! Next year, they should do a turduckhenmoosebear!

Glad you had a good time. It's amazing to rediscover life!

Yeah it is but I flew down T-day morning so it was in the oven when I got there. All I had to do was eat and help with the clean up after dinner.

You are so right about rediscovering life. It is amazing!

TurDuckHen? So they combined parts of all three to make one big hybrid bird, or what?

You get a turkey, a duck and a chicken. You debone all three and put the duck inside the turkey, the hen inside the duck and stuffing inside the hen and bake for about 10 hours. The fat from the duck keeps the turkey and the chicken really moist and they all pick up flavor from each other.

Really, really, good.
