So Im new to this website .. . . not really new to recovery. Ive been in the program about 11 years, I am an ex IV user. Recently I was clean for about 5 months, I had an eye surgery and was told I developed glaucoma. They gave me drops, but I chose to start smoking weed. Im having hard core cravings for IV using again. I almost went to score today and think I need help.

What worked for those 5 months? Do you have anyone that you can call? A sponsor perhaps if you are part of NA?

Personally right off the bat I'd stop making it harder for yourself - seems you might be hitting those same parts of the brain you used to when you were using IV.

I think it's common sense to stop the weed and go back to the eyedrops you were prescribed.

Yeah I guess its a good place to start. Things have been tough - I went to the chat room last night and talked there a bit too. Its pretty clear to me what I have to do.

Ive been thinking about it and in my head I think I made it okay to use again cause of everything thats going on.
