Angry Just can't get past the anxiety

I'm still here, feel like I'm fighting for my life. I make plans to stop using and do so for a day or two but then i can't stand the anxiety anymore and I'll find a way to use. I'm not going out of town to different doctors to get Norco. I spend most of my time looking for ways to obtain my doc. I've lost all desire to pray or even read my bible. I feel like I need to be locked up for a week then I'll get over the anxiety and be able to handle this better.

Any advice on how I can get past this would be appreciated.

Thank you!

What is Norco? I've never heard that name before. What is your poison of choice?

Norco is like Vicodin-pain medication and it's my poison of choice-I don't like drinking (I'm very grateful!) and don't do any other kinds of drugs.

Hi Cali,

Have you talked with your Doc about how the hydrocodone is making you feel? This is not new to them - it is a highly addictive med and they will be able to help you ease out of it. Don't try this alone, ok?

Hi Cali - welcoem

Have you seen a Dr about this?

They may be able to help you with suggestions/treatment to help you deal with the anxiety you're experiencing in withdrawal.

Posting here will help too - I find support is very beneficial

Have you thought of real life support as well? counselling or a group like NA or SMART?
D

Welcome to SR. I would hope a doctor would be able to help get you thru the worst of the withdrawal.

I agree that talking to your dr and getting his advice could be helpful.

Also, know that the anxiety you feel will likely diminish as time goes on.

Smile Today is better!

Thanks everyone for your responses. I'm actually much better today. I did take 1/4 of a klonepin for the anxiety and it's been working all day so far. I'm a little sore today but that I can deal with. I'm also limiting my caffeine today-seems to be helping.

Thanks again to all you wonderful people!~
