Starting a band to cope with alcoholism
Has anyone started a band to replace their alcoholism??? This can happen either intentionally or unintentionally- the matter is that you replace what was once an alcohol addiction with MUSIC and the jor of playing music with others
That didn't work for me Tyler - I didn't think anything could overpower my love for my music - but my thirst for alcohol did.
I should have realised really - a lot of musical heroes found the same thing - Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, Pete Townshend....it's a pretty long list really.
The only think that works IMO...is not drinking.

If I was in that situation I'd only find more opportunities to drink. Like to settle my nerves before going onstage. To celebrate going off stage. To be creative. To live up to the rockstar image.
