Day Four and Feeling it...
Well I am on day 4 today. Honestly I feel great having a clearer head and been more productive than ever but I really want a drink to - craving is much bigger - and I work at the pub this afternoon and then I have a rehearsal with my band tonight, usually afterwards we go for beer. Its gonna be a challenge...
Hang in there benny, you can do it all without drinking, well except the going out for beers after rehearsal...so, don't go out after rehearsal!
That's a new one on me, beers AFTER rehearsal, I would have beers before rehearsal, during rehearsal, after rehearsal, as soon as I got up in the afternoon, before going onstage, while onstage, while on break, after the gig...

Well, that which doen't get you drunk only makes you soberer. I figure you working the pub then the rehersal, stage and all is like heavy weight lifing building up those recovery muscles. You're facing a lot but nothing that has the power to make you pick up. You're doing great just keep on keeping on.
I feel for ya'........ Day 4 was always a biggie for me, like I didn't know what to do with myself after I started feeling good again. Taking each moment as it came helped me get through those tricky days (as did thinking about waking up the next day without a hangover!).
I used to drink while I worked (as an artist) - I thought it helped me loosen up. What I found was that being sober actually helped me be more in touch with my creative side. So remember that you're "enough"......

bennybored,
I used to have many 3-4 day off, back on cycles. I finally read somewhere that it takes about that long for the body to flush the alcohol out, at which point the cravings will kick in full swing. Hang in there, they do pipe down.
Promise. :-)
