I'm Baaack

Hi All,

I posted a thread on this forum a while back indicating that I thought that I needed help to stop drinking.....thought I'd provide an update introducing my new status. As briefly as possible:

I began drinking heavily over the past 3 years, but was still a functional alcoholic. I knew that I needed help, but didn't reach my 'rock bottom' until I attempted suicide while drinking. The next day I went inpatient for 11 days. Since I've been out, I've been attending AA meetings (going for 90 in 90 days), and am currently enriolled in IOP. Despite what I've been through/am going through....I STILL question if I really have a problem....alcohol is truly cunning, baffling, and powerful. :crazy

Anyways, you guys have been extremely supportive in the past - and I'm glad to be back.

Glad your getting some help. I know some people that have done 90 in 90 and then turned around and did it again. Whatever it takes!

Maybe

it's your "disease" speaking?
it's a withdrawal symptom?
you are not being rational?

it will get better if you keep up with your program?

Know that you can get well despite of any or all your beliefs about addiction. Put aside any doubts you have and just focus on what will hep you in your quest for a healthy tomorrow. It can be that simple

To get a jump start on having an addiction treatment plan, consider reading some recovery tools. Here's a few of the for mentioned tools to browse over.
