Help

I am new to this or ANY forum. I would like to post a new topic, thread or blog (not sure of which terminology to use). I am a current recovering alchoholic (well we are always recovering and never recovered, isn't that right??) I would like to use my past careers in coaching, teaching and management and enter into the rehabilitation industry to help others. Any ideas, suggestions or referrals on how to go about this?? Is it possible?? I know the program I went to here in Georgia had counselors and directors that were all former addicts of some fashion.
Please help me start a new!!! And yeah, I know this was a little long winded for a thread, post, blog or whichever it is...

It's a thread And Welcome Coach!! It's good to have you here, glad you joined us. You've stumbled across an amazing, supportive community!

I know nothing about the industry but it may very well be possible.

Also, congrats on being in recovery!

coach2088, you can if you will organize yourself to a study of Brown university addiction program, or at my communality college as it is in CA, http://faculty.oxnardcollege.edu/com..._2003-04_1.pdf. Good luck in being a professional aid to those that suffer from addiction. God only knows many more trained professionals are needed.
