Hello Everyone!

Hi! I am a stay at home mom to 2 great kids and wife to a recovering alcoholic who is in Rehab right now. We have been married for 14 years and both drank the entire time. As soon as my husband decided to make this step, I stepped along with him. I am over a week sober now and it feels great. I am very interested in other Al-Anon members. And I tried to go to my first Al-Anon meeting today but it doesn't exist anymore. So I am going to try another one tonight and I am very excited. I have so much to learn but I am eager and ready to do this.

Congratulations to you (and your husband) for choosing to get sober. You sound really positive and motivated - that's great! I'm SO glad I found this forum and got sober. Stick around and keep reading and posting - it's a great supportive community!:ghug3

Thanks! I have been looking at different posts and navigating my way around here. Lots and lots to take in but what I have learned from going to rehab and participating in the groups there with and without my hubby, is that I need to get educated and joining Al-Anon it a must. I need to fix me while he fixes himself. All of this is just amazing, how much I was doing wrong... I did EVERYTHING they tell you not to do and I had no idea what it was doing! WOW!
