Got divorced last year and now my ex has finally decided to get help and get clean and sober. After almost a year of knowing he was doing drugs, now everyone else does too. He has lots of support and I'm feeling left behind. I feel like there's no support for former spouses of addicts. I was lied to for nearly 7 years and now that he's sober (which is awesome), I'm just kind of left hanging....does that make sense?

Have you tried Naranon? It doesn't matter if you're together or not. It sounds as if you're still trying to recover from his addiction, and they can help.

I haven't been able to find hardly anything around here except NA & AA meetings and those are not what I need. Think I may have to go the private counselor route...

If you can't find Nar-anon, most Al-anon groups will welcome you, too.
