30 Days today

Hi All,

One month clean and sober today. I have been back in the real world 9 days after my 21 day rehab program. Around 20 days cigarette free too. I had some strong cravings 2 nights ago but got past it, I am really glad I didn't pick up.

Changes I have noticed in the past 30 days:
-My self esteem has improved so much
-I am really on the ball at work
-I have more patience
-I have laughed a lot more
-My circulation has improved a lot, less restless legs, my hands aren't as dry
-My skin has improved
-The puffiness in my face is gone
-My eyes are clear
-I am a lot calmer
-I have lost a little bit of weight

The only negative aspect has been the side effects from quitting smoking. At the moment I have a bad cough from my lungs clearing themselves and the cilia growing back on my throat. However this will pass obviously.

I can't wait to see the changes at 60 days!

Congrats on 30 days! Magnificent!! And to do the cigs as well. That's my next vice to go..I think I might find it tougher than quitting drinking. But at the moment I feel I'm heading in the right direction. You are an inspiration. Congratulations!!
