Day 14 rehab continues - Kelly

It was amazing, during our Anger class at 1 o'clock, how much anger most patients are stuffing inside....which, of course, triggers relapses.

Looking forward to the AA meeting in a little under an hour.

18 patients finished the program today...to be replaced by more alcoholics + oxy addicts + percocet addicts, dilaudid addicts, etc....the sky's the limit.

I have signed up for the Alcohol/Addiction Phase 3 program, which will be every Wednesday for 9 months, after I finish the residential program on May 24.

My alcoholic sister Lisa just got her 6 month chip, YAY!

Later,

Kelly

It was amazing when I was in rehab at how nieve I
was about all the drugs that were available at that time
and didnt know anything about them. I had no idea they
even existed. I suppose I was shielded from them or
felt protected because no one asked if I wanted any
and I always asked for alcohol.

It's also amazing at how much is available to all ages in the
world today and how sad it attacks all those who it becomes
available to.

Keep up the good work.

Day 14 draws to an end - rehab Kelly

Library closing in 4 minutes, I can't type FAST enough!

Thanks to you all!

Just had a Scottish speaker at our AA meeting - I LOVE his accent.

My Phase 3 will be every Wednesday for 9 months....a group of recovering alcoholics/addicts, plus a nurse, a social worker, an addictions counsellor, and a doctor.

God Bless you all...

Gotta go....I'm melting, I'm melting.....sorry, dumb joke....was thinking of The Wizard of Oz ;-)

Kelly from Homewood Health centre, Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Can't wait to get back to work, God willing.

There will be lots of sharing again, in recovery groups, tomorrow.

What you are learning and absorbing in rehab is
a good beginning to an awesome recovery that
can support you for a life time. Another day well
spent.
