Rest in peace Sister Terese.

Lost a big one yesterday. Sister Terese F. Her alcoholic husband abandon her in the 50's leaving her to raise 6 kids on a teachers salary while battling her own drinking problem. At her first meeting she knocked on the door and when someone answered she said, "I'm here to turn myself in". After sobering up in the 60's she finished raising her kids and after they were out of the house she became a nun in the Roman Catholic Church. Sitting next to her in a meeting was like taking 20mg of valium. She died yesterday with 45 years of sobriety.

She threw it out there for every one to see. Not only can this be done, it can be done extremely well.

Godspeed.

Thanks for sharing BadCo. It is funny how in some ways having my disease is a blessing. Without it, I would never have gotten to where I am.
