The Best 29 Day's that I can remember

Well it's now 29 day's not drinking and things are going great. The wife let me come home this weekend it was a little strange at first because that's where I did most of my drinking and treated her like crap. We spent sat. night talking and I had no craveings at all. Sunday we went to the fleamarket that had a beer garden had no teptations we ate lunch and then went to Red Lobster for dinner I had the best time in a long time she had sweet tee and i had a nice sparkling water so i think my marige will make it thorogh recovery.
My shop is doing a lot better sobor we are making a lot more money and it's fun again I love my job and i love sobor and my wife. Can it get any better ? yes yes, yes aslong as i stay sobor.

Thank you every one at SR you are my program

You sound a lot like me, I almost lost my wife, my business was in the dumps and now I am 29 days sober. Wow, I could have posted your post.

Congratulating you on 29 days! Remember too that febuary only had 28 days, that's already a month!

Not to highjack your thread but I have had it good until someone upsets me, simple things too but I seem to stay upset for days on end, this helped, I think I'll go talk to my wife right now!

Keep on succeeding riptide,

For some reason I don't get upset I just don't let pepple get to me I just smile at them it may be me or what my DR has me on I don't know. Any way talking to the wife is a good idea

Excellent news riptide! You sound a lot like me. I'm on day 30. I too did most of my drinking at home and treated my wife badly. I was never a mean or violent drunk, in fact I was mellow and pleasant while drinking. I was always worse during the day, grumpy, hung over, and unable to deal with ordinary stress and frustration in a normal way. My wife finally had enough and threw me out last year. We are now spending lots of time together and talking honestly in a way we never really did before. She's not ready to take me back yet, but if I keep working on my sobriety, I have a good shot. For me there is no turning back.

Great job, keep it up, you're lucky to have a both a wife and job you love - don't let that ******* alcohol steal them away again.
