I was doing so well on not controling/enabling my 20 yr old AS, but the past month or so I have gone backward! I am finding my self obsessing over him and trying to control him again. I am not as bad as I was but I feel like I am moving back into that dreaded CRAZY state. Last night I talked to him and it was obvious he was high he aksed for money to go to a movie, I ALMOST GAVE IT TO HIM and had to remind myself not too. I hate this and it makes me so sad to see him struggle.
Is this normal???
I have to going to go back to Alanon to find my stregnth again!!

Sounds like you know exactly what to do..we all slip in different aspects of life, when we catch ourselves, go find help, and do the neccissary work we are taking care of ourselves. Maybe make a commitment to youself to go to alanon for a year, work the steps, etc....work the program you wish your son would..find serentiy for yourself and role modeln healthy behavior for him..there's no downside!:ghug3

Most addicts will ask anyone for money to score.
