I was on medication once. Didn't drink for six months- figured I had this thing licked. I didn't have a problem- see how long I've been sober? Nevermind that I would bite the head off a kitten if it looked at me funny. I wasn't drinking so what was the problem?
Ended up going inpatient for two weeks- just broke down without alcohol and without a fundamental change in myself. I got out and drank that night. Two years later- I was still drinking.
