Drum roll please.....
8 months sober today folks!!
It really does feel like it was yesterday I was writing about my 7 month mark!!
Things continue to get better and better with each day of sobriety. I wont lie, there are those very brief moments when I catch myself thinking about a drink but it passes so quickly these days that it's hardly worth mentioning.
I certainly don't miss feeling like cr*p. I am at the gym 6 days a week now and working on a running and weights regime. Results are showing! Who woulda thunk I had some abs under there :rotfxko
But seriously, if you are new to recovery, hang in there - things do get better. I still take it one day at a time. I still come to SR every day (mainly to chat). I still count my blessings every day, especially for finding this wonderful family of people who "get it". I never take my sobriety for granted and work on my recovery on a daily basis.
