i have been able to keep from over thinking and had a fairly decent long weekend. my friend started methadone last friday and seems positive. she called me last night and sounded good. but she could have been smoking the other stuff. she asked if we could hang out soon. i said i'll have to get back to her. i am glad that i feel nothing rather than the anxiety i had been feeling. it is quite possible this is a ploy to try to stay at my place, so i am playing it safe. by not feeling, i think i am progressing away from the emotional addiction/attachment. i have been able to recognize some of the nature of my continued attraction to her.

That "i'll have to get back with you on that" was always a good one for me to give me time time to build up the courage, strength & wisdom to either say NO or whatever was the healthiest answer for me.
