hey everyone...day 4 here...I'm wondering about the rest? Socaldude? June44? I know there were a lot more...Things are really looking up from here. I admit I was taking an herbal thing to sleep since day 1, but last night I had NOTHING to help me sleep and it was the first true sleep I've had in 6 years. Six years of sleeping w/alcohol in my system...no wonder I would wake up at 4am in deep desperation and terror. I simply cannot believe how much better everything feels. I'm hoping all of us are feeling great today.

On day four, my hands stopped shaking. I was beginning to think I had permanent nerve damage, lol.

Now, if I could just get my memory back, I could remember what I was going to write here, lol.

I was just saying this same thing in another thread! Day 6 here and no desire to drink. I have a business dinner tonight and that will be a challenge for sure, but I feel OK. My main motivation is that I want to wake up tomorrow feeling as good as I did today! I want to have a great weekend...and I WILL!!

Day 4 but I am afraid the cravings might start up soon. Especially on the weekend.

Me too -- and like scared 1 said - the weekends - ugh. Have no cravings during the week, but come Friday afternoon....

The first week was like a rollercoaster ride - too many times that crazy voice would ask me if I wanted to get a drink. Only by the Grace of God was I equipped to say no thanks. Y'all are doing great and I'm so happy for each of you!

LOL, I had to wait until the clock turned over before I could post - since I quit midday, and *just* completed Day 3, so it's Day 4 for me too!

Congratulations to everyone. My "day" 4 is over and now I'm heading into "night/evening" 4...that's the challenge for me. Let's all stay strong. Glad to see everyone here.
