Well, it hasn't been easy. My post this morning was very difficult to write. But tiny victories: I didn't stop at the store on the way home. And I didn't "sample" anything at work today.

There may be a light at the end of the tunnel, but I hope it's not a train.

I'll post again when I'm over 24 hours.

The first few days can be kinda rough, but it gets a lot better, and pretty quickly.

Hope the job isn't too difficult for you at this time. Most of us find it's more comfortable not to be around alcohol too much in the very beginning.

I hope you can stay strong for a couple more days til the worst of the physical w/d is over. After a few days you should start feeling better, mentally and physically.

It really works! And then as time passes your urges will pass, too and you'll build a life where being drunk has no place. But in the early days. It's an hour to hour thing.
