I have started my suboxone treament on September 2nd. So I have been clean since the 1st. I am a ten year veteran of opiates. I am still afraid of how to live my life without being on anything. I think right now that scares me the most. I will have my first meeting tomorrow evening. I really am trying, my brain is still all kind of fuddled right at the moment. I am looking forward to reading and posting here, nice to see others who have gone through this, you know?

Welcome to SR! I'm an alcoholic, so I don't have any experience with opiate addiction. But there are plenty of folks here who have, and I expect they will be along shortly.

Hope your meeting is good--I find it really helpful to be with other people who "get it".

Well my first meeting did go well and I am looking forward to thr support there as well. Its just been a rough couple of days emotionally and mentally. I am having a rough time trying to get a hold of it all
