A sober summer

It dawned on me yesterday that this was my first sober summer since I started drinking at age 16, which was 34 years ago.

Man, does it ever feel good to be counting my sobriety in seasons now, instead of days, weeks, or months

Yeah Murray! I hadn't thought about it that way...technically we were two weeks I to Summer when I quit...but since I consider Memorial day the real start of Summer I feel like I quit half way through summer:-)

Hey congrats! I was thinking the same thing the other day-My first sober season! It feels awesome doesnt it?

Awesome Murray!!!! I just realized that now 2!!! first one for me in 20 something years!! feels great doesn't it!! I remember thinking that summer was ALL about drinking!! I had such an amazing summer, and I remember everything!!!

i'm with you, Murray! My first summer sober since i started drinking at 14, 27 years ago. Feels good to be sober and enjoy the summer, and the changing seasons. I never knew life could be so good.

Thanks Murray! I really like looking at sobriety in a seasonal pattern too....I usually just marvel at the fact that this is the MOST time I have gone without drinking in decades!
