After today, I won't be around for the next month or so. I have a book to write, so I'm taking a break from the message board to finish my work. Just wanted to say I hope everyone has a lovely autumn! Go play in the leaves! And I'll "see" you again in October!

Well good luck on your book. I'll miss your presence. I know what you mean about projects that can come up and not having time to post.

One way to keep in touch is to post on this same thread a couple times a week just to check in and let us know how you're doing on your book or just in general. It beats not posting for a whole month.

Hello everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful September! It is truly gorgeous here--weather has cooled down, leaves are changing, the light and shadows this time of year fascinate me. I'm loving all the color and the new fragrance in the air.

I finished what I needed to finish as far as my book was concerned and sent it off and now I'm just waiting for the thumbs up or down. I don't enjoy this part, there's always some doubt and anxiety, but it is what it is and through the 12 steps I'm able to live according to spiritual principles and not let the worry utterly consume me.

Had a great time last weekend at the beach all by myself! It was so relaxing. Hardly anyone on the beach and the water was still warm. VA Beach has some great AA too! Went to a BB Study there and it was awesome, one of the best I've ever been to.

What's new around here? I've missed yall.

never been to Va Beach,I usually go to Myrtle or a NC beach.A friend of mine goes up there several times a year and he loves it.It must be good

I do a LOT of writing in my job, but it's all one-note, so to speak. One of the ideas I'm rolling around for post-retirement is to get a chance to develop my OWN writing.
