announcement of anniversaries
varies wildly tom.
some monthly for the newcomers uptil a year i guess.
yearly is the most common format.......with cards given and signed by the group....or anyone that wants to.
Its nice to see the newcomers 30 days announced every month..especially for the guy in the back row shaking like a leaf thinking "this cant be possible"..

Majority (but not all) of the meetings in NorthEastern Massachusetts, not sure about Boston though, do monthly chips in the first year and then "the most important chip, 24 hours to 29 days for those who are new or coming back"......... then there are the yearly anniversaries.

Both of the groups I regularrly attend
have whiteboards on a wall with various
announcements. They are read at the end
of each meeting.
One group has both the month chip people
30 days...3 ..6 and 9 months.
as well as the years.
The other...years only.
Both groups present medallions monthly
for the 1 year or more members.
Both froups have several daily meetings..
So.....they are read aloud often...

One of my homegroups hands out chips to anyone at each meeting for 30, 60, 90 days, 6 months, and 9 months. We celebrate group members' annual anniversaries with medallions the last meeting of the month. We also hand out a couple of marbles from a cup for anyone who wants to announce, say, four months, and for any visitors celebrating an anniversary in the past month.
My other homegroup hands out medallions only, to group members, for their annual anniversaries (though we invite people to announce any anniversary they are celebrating).
