alcohol + sex drive
hi, all.
I've been binge drinking since I can remember, probably about 15 years - with few times where I wouldn't drink for a few days.
I have now quit drinking altogether, as I started feeling weak and in general not exactly well both phisically and mentally.
I am and have experienced a total lack of sex drive/sexual desire, probably past 2 years but for sure last 10 months. basically, I just never feel like it, and I have a hard time achieving and/or maintaining a full erection. I mean, I'll like the girl and stuff, and my mind would want to do stuff, but my body just wouldn't respond.
I read that alcohol can mess up your hormone balance, and that this side effect is actually pretty common (whether it's the hormones or not).
well, I was wandering if any of you have experienced this and - if anybody can share his story - after you quit drinking, after how long things got back to normal.
I quit drinking about 2 months ago, and while I generally feel better, this problem persists.
thanks all for helping out.
W.
