How can we help our Father?
I am not an alcoholic, but my Dad is. He's been drinking since as far back as I have memories of him. He says he doesn't have a problem but he drinks every day. My brother has tried to talk to him about it, but the conversation didn't really go anywhere. We both want to be careful not to make him feel cornered. It's been on our minds for a while we just don't know how to go about it. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

I dunno about your Dad but I know no one could stop me drinking - and I met every kindly approach with anger and contempt.
The only way I know for anyone to stop is if they want to themselves.
There are support groups for people like you and your brother tho...have you considered AlAnon?
