Think this means something???

Early Sun AM, I woke up around 4... A was not home (Cubs game, bar, someone else's house, etc) and he had to work at 6. I heard him stroll in, and ignored him, but had a hard time falling back asleep. Then i had a funny dream.......

He and I and a drinking buddy of his were downtown Chicago, in the wee hours. I have no idea what we were doing, but he and his friend were not too far behind me. suddenly , I realized that they had left me!!!! I ran and found them, and completely freaked out-- how could you do this ?? Leave me alone in the city!!!" etc..

I told him about the dream and he replied that he would NEVER leave me downtown. True, he wouldn't , but I don't think he saw the bigger issue behind the dream.. Probably never will.

It was funny because i don't normally have those kinds of dreams, but this was one of those light dozes when dreams are more vivid.(Actually, i like the erotic dreams that come at this time sometimes, if I'm lucky, and if they involve Colin Farrell!!)

Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

(ps- he did make it to work, but then went golfing afterwards and then stayed out until 4am today. And then went to work. Think there's chemical help here? )

Of course it was rhetorical!!! I understood that it represented my feelings of rejection and abandonment.

He thought it meant that I thought he would actually leave me downtown...

The ol' figurative vs. literal conundrum...
