A detachment prayer (I love)
I give you to the Holy Spirit
As part of myself.
I know that you will be released.
Unless I want to use you
to imprison myself.
In the name of freedom
I choose your relsease
Because I recognize
We can be released only together.
This is from A Course in Miracles (or at least was inspired by it)

Thank you Wife, I love it.
Put it on a photo I took of my RABF at one of the beautiful beaches around my home.
Think it appropriate, as he was in a pensive mood and trying to "detach" from his body's craving for a beer, and me trying to stay off his case.
Praise God, he did and I didn't spend the day a gibbering wreck as in past, but OH, how hard Detachment can be.
God bless

Wife-Love the prayer and Jadmack-I love the picture of your RABF on the beach with the prayer superimposed on it.
I am going to be a copycat and do the same thing as I have several pictures of my RABF that this would go on. Personalizing this prayer is a powerful reminder for each of us struggling as we do to practice not just detachment but detachment with love.
Hugs......
