Question time for change

married, father of 3 and trying for the first time to really quit this maturing habit. I've seen this sight in the past, but after reading some posts I've decided to use this as one of my tools to recovery. I'm on day 4 and so far, so good.

I'll share my story (more for me than for you guys...) once I have a little more time in front of the computer.

thanks.

Welcome! I find this site to be amazingly helpful -- even more so once you start writing as well as reading.

Your intro post may seem to be more for you than for us, but there's a reason I hang out in the newcomer's area a lot -- all the stories are very helpful to me as well as to the people who are writing them.

There are lots of people here, and your story is certain to resonate with many!

I wish you the best of luck with your recovery!

I look forward to reading your story. I'm a newcomer too, and I get a little thrill when someone responds to my posts. In fact, it's my only thrill LOL. I hope you can feel the concern and warmth from these people too. It really does help things.

Welcome tryingthistime.

I like your name as I went through the motions of pretending to try before I actually did try.
It took an ultimatum from my wife that she meant to finally get it and I am glad I did.
Good luck to you.

Congrats on the four days. This site can be a great tool to aid in your recovery, but I hope you are in AA. You will get help there that you cannot get anywhere else.
