I have been struggling with how to get my kids the Christmas gifts they want this year, and had just about ruled out getting them. My son's medical expenses (I had to pay a specialist out of pocket because my insurance was slow to approve some care that he really needed) have been high, and straining my budget to the max.

So yesterday, right before Christmas, imagine my shock and surprise to open the mailbox and find a large check from my health insurance company, reimbursing me for their portion of the out-of-pocket costs for my son's care. Now I'll be able to get them the gifts they wanted! I'd given up on them reimbursing my costs after all, as I'd submitted the receipts months ago.

God is good!

I had a similar surprise, KJ. Amazing, isn't it? No sooner did I let go and accept that Christmas would be what it would be than the one thing I'd forgotten about arrived.
