Happy Thanksgiving :)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

The bird is out on the grill, cooking over charcoal and big chunks of Mesquite. When he's done, I'm making turkey gravy (with the barbeque drippings ... just about the tastiest gravy you'll ever have) then we're taking him over to Becky's folks, doing family x-mas photos with her folks and brother & sister and lil' nieces & nephew, and then stuffin' our faces.

Hope everyone has a great (and sober) holiday!

My feet are elevated and firmly planted on a pillow.

23lbs of turkey, 8lbs of mashed potatoes, almost half a gallon of gravy, candied yams, white corn, 32 biscuits and rolls, stuffing and stuffing balls, cranberry sauce, two dozen deviled eggs, four jars of assorted pickled goodies from the garden and five pies later, if any of the ten folks at my table left hungry, they had to totally own that one themselves.

I'm tired, achy and happy.

Happy Thanksgiving, Americans an Non-Americans alike. It's a good day to be above ground.

Peace & Love,
Sugah

What a wonderful Thanksgiving...I now have two clean Thanksgivings under my belt.
I feel so blessed. No longer am I running around to score coke or having to depend on pills to make it through a day.
I actually ate

Not to be Donald Downer, but i spent the day alone. I am pretty much estranged from my bio family. I would have been very welcome at my partner's family shindig, but since he was working, that would have been unfair to him. He works with people with disabilities and had cooked a dinner for them, so there was no chance of one for us when he got home at 6.
However...I was safe and not immersed in worry, still in an apartment I thought I would lose back in January with enough money that, should we have wanted to, we could have had a dinner.
So, I still had, and have, a lot to be thankful for.
Heading for my home group @ 7:30, I remain,

Bear, were you closer, I'd have adopted you for the day. Glad you found some gratitude.

Peace & Love,
