Smile Maybe A Little Sunshine!

I was thinking here! LOL probably not good but yeah it is.

How often we think things are never going to get better. How we will always struggle and never be free. That might be so. I tend to think though that things will get at least a little different even maybe better. But as I was sitting here at this hour, working away on some projects. I thought

OMFG

You have it made Vic! What the heck are you thinking...

Your NOT in prison!

You have a computer!

You have Internet!

You have support!

You have friends!

You have Chance!

You have a House to LIVE IN!

Your Bills are getting paid! *some slower than others*

You have Food in the fridge

You have a car!

You have Gas!

You have so much so there is quite a bit of sunshine going on in your life.

I have been sober now for a few 24 hours. And each day it is like I don't even know how many days its been unless I stop too count. What I think maybe like 38 days now since I've drank or used any of that substances. I am very thankful for the Chance of being given Another Chance!

You guys and gals here are great! I will do my best to come around just a little more often. I've kinda neglected the place where I started to get my recovery and for that I am Sorry!

Love As Always

Vic

That's right...count your blessings .
There are a lot of people who are doing a lot worse.

You never know what is enough unless you know what is more than enough.

Proverbs of Hell

I agree with Penny - count the blessings, we all have them just LOOK. Too many whiners in the world, be good to yourselves and think on the bright side. Any Brits remember The Flumps? The episode about the hanging dark cloud? Grumpy faces attract dark clouds which are hard to shrug off it warned. Always look on the bright side of life

Ain't it great what we can see with a new pair of glasses?!
Great job in seeing the big blessings of early sobriety!!
Keep coming back, it gets much better the longer we stay.

Now if the Huskers will win today I will have another blessing but than like this guy says in the meetings "You should be grateful and thankful for everything. Well I will let you all know when I get there!

Staying positive is crucial to sobriety, imo. Congrats on your sober time, too!

I love gratitude lists!

One thing I picked up from a spiritual reading is to always ask myself:

At this moment, what is my problem? (keep things in the moment)

Right now, my biggest issue is whether to go for a bike ride or watch football!

Theres the Vic I know!! I hope you do come around more. I missed you when you stopped coming around. There is alot there to be thankful for. And today I have been in a funk. Sad for a couple days for no reason. Not sulking. Just down. Maybe just the weather. But reading this has reminded me too count my blessings as well. And well....I have been uplifted some. Thx Vic. You helped me out today and didnt even know it.

Your Welcome...All of ya!

One thing it is hard in the winter to stay positive. Counselors, Sponsors, etc. all have said that when we don't have sunshine outside, it does tend to mess with our feeling a little sulky but that is all good. We know it will pass sometime we only wish it would pass a little sooner.

I've been busy, and yeah still sober

Needed everyone of you for the support. I am pretty content. Been doing a few meetings, 3-4 a week. Doing my counseling, seeing my NUT Doc again! So yeah it is all good. Just like Kid Rock would say, "happy to be missunderstood."

Well here is to another day...
