Update and trying to keep it one day at a time

How much longer do you have to make a decision? And is your name on the mortgage? Emotionally, it sounds to me like you actually already know what you need, which is fantastic. I think that this is the hardest part.
If you don't want him to come back to the house, because you don't think that your relationship is healthy for you, then it's really his problem where he stays. And if you want to leave the house, give him a timeframe that works for you and is reasonable and he can deal with his immediate housing problem himself.
I know how hard it is to deal with joined finances with someone who isn't necessarily reasonable or loving. I just keep trying to say what I want, in a neutral way and hope that our complications will eventually resolve because I'm not engaging in an unhealthy way and creating more drama. We'll see!
