31 days!
I've slipped so many times at this point, and It's a little scary knowing this is the time I usually slip. I think this tells me I need to work my program even harder. Thanks for responding to my previous posts as it helped get me to the point I'm at now. I fully understand however, that I'm always one drink away from a relapse and I don't think I have anymore relapses left...couldn't fathom what the next one would be like except complete devastation. Kinda scarred, but glad I have no desire today. I could use some suggestions on staying on track.
congrats on your clean time! So many people relapse around clean tirme markers...my thoughts on that are they get too focused on it and then it becomes almost an obsession, then comes in the demon voice telling you it's ok, you've done so well, you deserve at least one drink to celebrate, just one won't hurt you. Refocus to some kind of distraction until you can get past this hard time frame.
And talk about it here, and talk about it, and talk about it....it seems the more you talk about it, the less the grip it has on you...and be accountable to at least one person, someone that has some good clean time.
remember...one is to many and a thousand is never enough.
Stay strong, and keep coming back!!!:ghug3

Congratulations. Sorry, I don't have any suggestions. You're doing far better than I ever have. Good luck--don't stop now, you got 31 days--and I hope people come along with suggestions you can use.
First of all...Great job on 31 days.
I think you have the right idea. Work harder on your program when you feel like that.
Stay glued to sober people that will help you stay on track.
I for one dont count days. I find it too stressful. I see alot of people get shook on milestones. I dont want to feel like that. I couldnt even tell you when I last used. What day or how long. Not even a round about time frame. I like it that way.
I am just living for the day in front of me.
Just hang in there. Stay close and do everything you can to stay out of that backslide.

For me to continue my early sobriety.....
I found action and change necessary.
The action? I hooked into the program of AA.
The change? My alcoholic lifestyle.
Yes you too can win over alcohol
keep moving forward.
All my best...
