Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

By the Grace of my Higher Power
as I understand Him and people like
here in SoberRecovery, I havent
found it necessary to pick up a drink
of alcohol since 8-11-90.

For that and You I am truely grateful.



One of the most fundamental things
I have learned in recovery is, is to
pass on our message of experiences,
strengths and hopes of what it was
like before during and after drinking
to other alcoholics.

That means I must think more about
others than about myself.

The most important thing is to practice
these principles in all my affairs. And
in my opinion, that is what Alcoholics
Anonymous is all about.


To Carry the message and not the
mess.

Sounds good. I would also add that its poison to me to not talk about whats going on in my head each day. I see no conflict between these two things.

I can carry the message as well as being realistic about living in sobreity. Its all good as I get examples that no matter what I do not need to pick up.
