Day 5

A few ights ago I came here begging for help and you guys got me through.

Now on day 5 and atend a family party and had not much temptation to drink.

Currently there is a loud party going on in my apartment complex and actually content to not be drinking.

I can't wait to take my pee test at rehab Tuesday!

Amazingly I'm finding it's gotten kinda easier already. I'm sure the rough patches will follow. But for those on day 1 or 2, stick it out. Once you make it a few times you'll know you can do it.

Thanks for all the support the other night!

- TMR

Congrats on 5 days! :ghug3 I am finishing up Day 5 here too. Yes, it does get easier with time....but those first few days were difficult for me. I'm glad you were able to make it through today without drinking. Keep moving forward and keep recovery a priority.

Congrats on 5 days! Your screen name really caught my eye because I was a rum drinker as well. I recently celebrated 4 years and just the thought of a drink literally turns my stomach. . . that's a wonderful thing.

Just keep taking things One Day at A Time and you'll be just fine.

Great Job TMR! Feels good to get over that hump of the first few days. This morning I was thinking it would be nice if humans could use a memory card to record the first days of withdrawals and every tiime we were tempted to drink, because it seems to happen the first month (at least for me) we could put the chip in and relive the pain and sickness. I think feeling that for just 30 secs or so might deter anyone from taking that first drink. I know dumb idea and impossible!

Anyway congrats on your 5 days!

Keep up the GREAT work!!! That's awesome. I'm sure you'll find, even when the rough times come, being sober feels better than the way we were.

Dear Rum, (((((Hugs)))))

Yah! CONGRATS to you that's so wonderful!! We had a impromptu chat Meeting yesterday afternoon and I tried to wake you up you were in the meeting room (LOL) but we all thought you were sleepin' on the sofa. I guess you were away doing other things though. I'm so glad your sticking it out and on Tuesday your gonna be SO PROUD of yourself with good deserving reason too! Yah to you ToomuchRum.
