Thumbs up Day 7 - Report / Check this out

WOW

I mean like, wow. Understatement of the century - this, is how I feel..

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! !!!

I STRONGLY advise any newcomers to recovery to hit the gym ASAP. I feel so great right now. I want to hug everyone. My body is swimming with chemicals. Natural body chems like endorphins and adrenaline. I never knew feeling good felt so good.

I spent and hour with my PT today, half hour by myself. I'm doing a full body workout, starting with the cardio machines as a warm up, then onto the weights, finishing up with stretches and light cardio cool down.

Today was really just to see how much I could handle, to introduce me to the various exercises and get a feel for it. Oh man, I LOVE you all and I LOVE being alive. This is like having a flu for living and it's contagious my friends. Either get infected or p!ss off. Only kidding, sorry.

Here's the best part. I had a major craving this morning. I woke up feeling good, but by the time I'd eaten breakfast and was out of the house I starting feeling sketchy. I actually wanted to get drunk and winge about how it's all too hard - instead I forced myself to go to the gym. How's that for a craving cure.

I actually felt a little dizzy as I was leaving the gym because I was so 'high'.

Nice work Billy, I love hearing your positive stories... keep it up!

I am going to get my mountain bike out for the first time this year & go for some trail riding in a forest near by. I might not be able to ride hard like I used to but |I am sure as heck going to enjoy it

Congrats Billy!
That is wonderful for you!!
I joined a gym as soon as I got sober too and it was great! It still is.
I have lost 55 pounds in 13 months. And I feel great! Glad you do too.

That sounds great, Billy!

As another of the 'old folks' here, I get my exercise by walking, and I am absolutely passionate about it.

Dang it I just wrote a long post in reply but my computer spat the dummy and now I've lost it.

Ok I don't have time to write it out again, I have to go to work.

I usually copy my posts before I click post in case that happens - I forgot to this time (doh)

Have a terrific day everyone

If I have time at work tonight I'll jump on but I'm focusing on putting in 110% - especially after that little talking to I had the other day.
I'm committed to proving to my boss, and everyone else, that I'm more than capable .. I want to blow his mind.

THANK YOU for all your replies, I really have to go now - big MWAH to you all!
