There is hope

I have 5 years sober today, and never thought I would say those words. For anyone just beginning a life of sobriety, it is possible. SR has been a great support for me!!!!!

Thanks for all your kind replies. I went to my regular Dr. and told her I had a drinking problem. She gave me some Ativan, to help with the withdrawals and I took about 4 days off work.I tried a few AA meetings, but really think I was to sick to get much from them. My work gave us 6 one hour sessions with a therapist, and he helped if nothing else to listen, understand, and make a commitment to myself. I have been reading posts on SR since the beginning.
