Hi everyone

I'm new to the forums.I'm a recovering alcoholic and have been sober for 16 days so far. Still feeling unwell but at least the shakes and stuff have gone.

Welcome to SR Maz, congrats on 16 days, hang around, it does get better, usually right after it seems as though it never will! LOL

hey Maz....way to go on the 16 days....

ask yourself: what can you do to begin getting "well"?

Yes! Maz, are you recovering or have you just had 16 days without a drink? I ask only because you identified yourself as an alcoholic. An alcoholic who is not recovering is sure to drink.

And, either way, nice job! First couple of weeks can be really rough. Hop in with both feet and you are well on your way.

Hi I'm new too. I'm not as strong as you though. I manage one week without a drink and then slip back in.I'm really hoping to get support from you guys and keep off it for good.

Thanks everyone for the welcome

I'm still pulling through and feeling better but still not 100%. Feeling sober is taking a while to get used to because the last two years I was either drunk or hangover or both everyday.
