1 mile

WOW... its been 10 days since i last had a beer and a smoke. before my drinking and smoking got cared away i use to run 5 miles a day. i quit running and would do little exercise. the last ten days i have been putting alot more into exercising, walking, biking, yoga, and trying to run. well to night i made it 1.5 miles and did not run out of breath and feel like i was going to die. that gives me even more power to stay sober. thanks for all the support

That's terrific!

I think it's so important to maintain balance in my life and I know how important exercise is. I'm glad you're seeing such good results.

Thats great..I cant run far. Thats why I never tried running from the cops. I just stop and wait for them..LOL.
I am goin to start riding a bike now that the weather is gettin warmer.
Exercise is good. And not drinking and smoking will make it more enjoyable.
Keep it up.

I'm beginning to rediscover the joy of exercise also - like Anna said, it's all about balance. I had to put some work into my recovery, not just put down the booze and start working out. I was drinking for a reason and I had to get down to cause and effect.

I'm glad you're enjoying being sober, and hope that things continue to go well for you.
