Hi everybody,

This is gonna sound crazy, but I received a package in the mail of an order I placed for some "Philosophy" skincare products. Some of you girls may have heard about this product. Anyhow, all of Philosophy's products have inspirational names for their products like, 'hope' in a jar, 'purity' cleanser, 'amazing grace' shower gel, etc. I ordered a package that came with a little cosmetic bag, and it had a poem that really touched me and I thought I'd share it.

Believe

What I believe is what I will become.
I believe I am special and that there will
never be another like me...not ever.

I believe I have been blessed with certain
talents that will allow me to serve a purpose
higher than my own.

I believe we are all connected and that despite
our differences we are one. I believe in the
power of love and its ability to heal all wounds.

I believe there are no acts of coincidence
only acts of God that work miraculously
in my life.

I believe that the lessons I learn
will be the lessons I teach


I know this seems corny, but since getting clean, I've become a 'mushy', emotional person, instead of the non-feeling, hard @ss person that I used to be.
As addicts, I also know that our self esteem and self worth have been seriously damaged, so I thought that this was a nice message we should all read.

I'm also with you in everything you wrote. All of a sudden I'm accepting things I used to find sappy. Now I get it.

Luxkury bath produts are a huge part of my recovery.....nice oil baths,,,nails ...get a good hairdresser...really helps me feel more human,,,and more deserving.....

Emotions do run wild ! I am a big supposedly tough hard nosed businessman and ex-football player and coach, and I cry now watching cartoons !

thanks for sharing the poem penny, I really enjoyed it. I think I'm gonna try that skin care line also, have seen a few commercials and I'm curious.
