Made it through another weekend - day 15

Actually I'm not obsessing about the count that much now. But anyway, this does seem to be getting easier. Today I'm going back to my doc to talk about the antidepressants I'm using and see what he thinks about this in the context of my not drinking.

Had a good, productive weekend. Took my wife out for Mexican Saturday and had no problem resisting a margarita (and loved the small check we ended up with). She told me I have been smelling much better since I have not been drinking - and I have been getting more kisses from her.

Just wanted to share some positive news.

Thanks for sharing your success.

With each passing day, you will appreciate the simple things of life, we take for granted...and what we missed during our addictive behaviors..

That is awesome.
It will get easier as time goes on.
And not obsessing about days is good IMO.
For me it just added pressure.
Although it is nice to keep it in the back of your mind just to know how far you have come.
Keep it up.

I am no longer counting days like I used to do, tho I remember my first sober day after my relapse and can go to the sobertime calculator if I want to see how far I've come.

Congrats on another sober weekend and on more kisses from your wife! That's a great incentive right there!

I'm glad you dinner out wasn't difficult. I'm certain if I went out for mexican food I would be watching all the peeps who were drinking margaritas. I have know desire to drink unless I put myself in those situations... Then I squirm!
